Forward Rabun Holds Town Hall Meetings
Forward Rabun recently held two planned Town Hall meetings at the Rabun County Civic Center to gather public input for a strategic plan for community and economic development for Rabun County.
About 50 people attended a Town Hall meeting on Tuesday, May 3, 2022, to discuss their “vision” for local economic development and the future of Rabun County. Approximately 25 people attended the second Town Hall meeting on Thursday, May 12, 2022. The events were sponsored by Forward Rabun to collect public input for a strategic plan for community and economic development in Rabun County.
“All the attention now focused on current growth and development in Rabun County shows that we need a longer range planning framework based on a consensus vision for the future of the county,” said Rick Story, Executive Director of Forward Rabun, a partnership among the County, its cities and the private sector for community and economic development.
