Maintenance Tech

Two positions are open for carpenters who have framing and finish skills who can demonstrate mastery by: being able to repair or replace complete wooden stairways and decks to Rabun County, GA code; able to remove and replace interior wall framing to facilitate installation of water heater or HVAC systems. Finish carpentry: able to replace interior trim work to match existing installation and finish; able to install vinyl plank flooring, able to remove, replace, tape, mud, and finish wall and ceiling sheetrock to include applying textured ceilings; able to paint/stain interior and exterior surfaces. Additional skills/abilities in residential plumbing or electrical systems are a plus. Must be able to accomplish assigned tasks with minimal supervision and must be a team player. This is a small department and everyone must work with and support each other.
These are 40/week payroll positions with rotating weekend coverage. Trucks, tools, and fuel are provided. Fitness requirements are as usual for the tasks, but at 3,800 feet elevation with lots of interior and exterior stairways. Reliable transportation is required as there is no public transportation to the site. This is a drug-free work environment and random testing is performed.
