Forward Rabun’s Armed Forces Day Convoy Brings Out the Best in Our Community to Honor Service Members!

The annual Armed Forces Day Convoy made its way through Rabun Saturday morning the 17th of May, 2025, starting at 11:00am in Dillard and ending in Downtown Clayton where a generous lunch was provided for all participants by The Bridge Creek Inn. All along the route, Rabun Countians turned out with flags waving to show their support and appreciation for those that chose to serve our Country. A huge thank you to Bridge Creek Inn for sponsoring the luncheon. And a special thank you to Evelyn and Savanna for being super wonderful hosts. Also, thank you to Tom Proctor Actor/director for the entertainment. It was a great morning that the Veterans truly appreciated. Thank you to all the folks that came out to cheer the convoy on. Thank you Rabun Entertainers for performing on the float with Penrose Santos. Thank you to Rabun County Sheriff’s Office Deputies for escorting the convoy and to City of Clayton, Georgia Police Department for directing the convoy through town. This truly was a whole community effort and shows how the people of Rabun County can come together to support a worthy cause.
