Rabun County is fortunate to have many residents who care about making our community a better place to live and work. There are a number of civic clubs and organizations that residents can join, allowing them to make a positive impact and help build a brighter future for all who call our beautiful community home. Learn more about some of the organizations in our community below!

Meets Quarterly.
Rotary Club of Clayton
Meets at noon every Thursday at the Food Bank teaching kitchen.

Friends of the Library
Annual memberships are $3 for a Junior Friend (ages 12 and younger), $10 for a single membership, $25 for a family or couple, and $50 for a business or organization. Donations to the Rabun County Friends of the Library are tax-deductible, and all funds raised by the organization directly benefit the Library.

Habitat for Humanity of Rabun County
Meets at 5:30 p.m. on the fourth Thursday of the month at Poss Realty. Thrift Store hours are Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 10 a.m. to 2p.m., Thursday and Friday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Kiwanis Club of Rabun County
The Kiwanis Club is dedicated to serving Rabun County children. It meets at noon the first and third Tuesday of each month at the teaching kitchen at the food bank.
Lake Rabun Association
The association is a nonprofit social welfare organization dedicated to nurturing the beauty, serenity and the quality of life on and around Lake Rabun.

North Georgia Arts Guild
Meetings are the third Thursday of each month at 9:30 a.m. (coffee) and 10 a.m. (program) at the Rabun County Conference Center, 184 S. Main St., Clayton. The guild sponsors workshops, art-related field trips and numerous art shows.
Rabun Aid Program
Founded in 1992, a non-profit mission program that aids the elderly, the physically handicapped and the economically disadvantaged. The 2020 dates are June 24-28.

Rabun County Historical Society
Meets at 4:30 p.m. on the third Thursday of the month, every month at 81 N. Church St. Hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday and Friday.

Trout Unlimited, Rabun Chapter
Meets at 6:30 p.m. the third Thursday of the month at the Rabun Gap Presbyterian Church fellowship hall.
Lake Burton Civic Association
The Lake Burton Civic Association (LBCA) is not-for-profit organization to promote and maintain the interests and concerns of Lake Burton area residents. The LBCA provides significant support to the volunteer fire departments (VFDs) and other volunteer organizations serving the Lake Burton area. In addition, the LBCA Foundation provides scholarships to local students.

Keep Rabun Beautiful
As part of the Keep America Beautiful initiative, KRB organizes events for local clean-up and litter removal as well as promotes recycling, beautification and other eco-friendly efforts.
