Forward Rabun is here for you! As a public-private partnership, we work with representatives from the county and its cities as well as the private sector to support the growth of our community, drive a better quality of life, and provide better economic opportunities for all. We do this by connecting you to the right people, places, and resources you need to thrive here.
With your help, Forward Rabun has recently worked to complete both a Strategic Plan with Supporting Information and a Housing Assessment for the Rabun County community and its citizens. Below are links to access these reports and we welcome any input our community members may have. If you have questions or comments, please contact us at connectwithus@forwardrabun.com. We also welcome community participation in the implementation of the action items identified in these reports. If you would like to lend your efforts and experience to any of these purposes, you may also contact us at connectwithus@forwardrabun.com. Thank you for being such a caring and involved community and we hope our efforts will continue to help bring about the positive and responsible growth of our Rabun County home.
The Georgia Mountains Regional Commission (GMRC) is assisting Rabun County and the municipalities of Clayton, Dillard, Mountain City, Sky Valley, Tallulah Falls, and Tiger with the update of their joint Comprehensive Plan, the State required document that helps shape and coordinate local work programs for the communities. These planning processes are designed to ensure that major projects and policies for the community are developed with public input, ensuring a level of coordination between local and State interests. Below is a link to the current 2019 version of the Rabun County Comprehensive Plan as well as a press release containing information on upcoming public forums and an online survey, available through June 15th, for community input. Your participation is welcomed and appreciated!
